FLOUROSCAN – FASTER, SMARTER TESTING
We really are the method used all around the world for speck detection and the measurement of aleurone and bran.
There are two product types currently set up in the Fluoroscan F2000 AE measuring system -> Flour and Semolina.
- When the product type is set to Flour, the system will measure speck counts and percentages for both aleurone and bran. Using this information, an ash value is estimated for the sample.
- When the product type is Semolina the system will measure samples for brown and black specks.
– Aleurone – is viewed as the fluorescing particles as shown in white on the raw images and outlined in green on the processed images.
– Bran – is the number of dark particles as shown in black on the live images and outlined in red on the processed images.
– Ash – ash percentage is estimated from the percentage of aleurone and bran present in the sample.
– Brown Specks – is viewed as the darker particles on the live images and outlined in green on the processed images.
– Black Specks – is viewed as the darkest particles as shown in black on the raw images and outlined in red on the processed images.
